PESHAWAR, Dec 2: The provincial executive council of the Awami National Party here on Saturday called upon the international community to take part in the reconstruction of Afghanistan and assist the people of the war-ravaged country, says a press release.

The ANP executive council meeting which was presided over by its provincial president Begum Nasim Wali Khan while supporting the Bonn summit, hoped that the conference would pave way for a peaceful solution of the decades-long Afghan conflict.

The council asked for establishing a broad-based national government in Afghanistan, giving representation to all ethnic groups of the country. The party also called for giving representation to all ethnic groups in the proposed national council and Loya Jirga.
