SUKKUR, June 24 The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Sukkur, announced the results of annual examinations of Higher Secondary School Certificate, Science, on Wednesday.

According to face-sheet, among boys of pre-medical group, Ali Raza of Government Degree Science College, Gambat, secured first position by obtaining 968 marks. Second position was grabbed by Asif Rehman of Mazhar Muslim Model Higher Secondary School, Ranipur, who obtained 956 marks. Third position was jointly secured by Vinjesh Kumar of Mazhar Muslim Model Higher Secondary School, Ranipur, and Abdul Hafeez of Ever Shine Higher Secondary School, Ranipur, who got 949 marks.

Among girls of pre-medical group, Nida Anwar of Pak-Turk International School and College, Khairpur, secured first position by obtaining 968 marks, second position was secured by Al-Haya of Iqra Public Higher Secondary School, Gambat, by obtaining 967 marks and third position went to Iqra of Government College for Women, Khairpur, who obtained 959 marks.

According to over all positions of pre-medical groups, Ali Raza and Nida Anwar jointly secured first position, Al-Haya grabbed second position and third position went to Iqra.

In pre-medical group, total 11,033 candidates were registered, out of whom 110,12 appeared in the examination, 192 obtained grade-A1, 1,023 grade -A, 2,277 grade -B, 3,516 grade -C, and 791 grade -D. Total 7,799 candidates were declared successful and 2,971 unsuccessful.

The result of 242 candidates was withheld for the reasons of cheating, queries and incomplete documents.

The pass percentage of boys was 61.92 and of girls 81.85 with overall pass percentage at 70.82

In pre-engineering group, among boys first position was secured by Mazhar Hussain of Mehran Model School and Intermediate Science College, Pano Akil, who obtained 981 marks. Second position was grabbed by Syed Daniyal Saleem of Government Degree Science College, Gambat, by obtaining 950 marks. Third position went to Saeed Ali who obtained 949 marks.

Among girls of pre-engineering group, first position was secured by Anum of Roshan Tara Model Higher Secondary School, Ghotki, by obtaining 910 marks. Second position was grabbed by Sana Mughal of Pak-Turk International School and Colleges, Khairpur, by obtaining 909 marks.

Third position went to Fareha Akhter of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Rohri, who obtained 907 marks. The over all position holders in pre-engineering group were Mazhar Hussain (first position) Syed Daniyal Saleem (second position) and Saeed Ali (third position).

In pre-engineering group, total 8,438 candidates were registered out of whom 8,394 appeared in the examination. Total 93 candidates were declared successful in grade -A1, 744 in grade -A, 1,758 in grade -B, 2,215 in grade-C and 622 in grade-D.

Total 5432 candidates were declared successful and 2,713 unsuccessful. The results of 249 candidates were withheld due to the reasons of cheating, queries and incomplete documents.
