RAWALPINDI, March 22: The additional district and sessions judge, Syed Pervez Ali Shah, on Saturday awarded two-year rigorous imprisonment to a drug-trafficker.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs10,000 on the convict, Mohammad Ashiq. In case of default, he would have to undergo additional two-month rigorous imprisonment. According to the prosecution, Waris Khan police station had recovered one kilogramme charas from the possession of the convict.

The civil judge and judicial magistrate, Mohammad Iqbal Goraya, imposed a fine of Rs10,000 on a person, Najeebur Rehman, for throwing firecrackers on a marriage party. The same court also imposed a fine of Rs3,000 on a person, Amir Farhan, who had been booked by FIA police under Section 6 of the Passport Act.

The civil judge and judicial magistrate, Hidayatullah Shah, awarded four-month rigorous imprisonment to a juvenile, Sajid Mohammad, for stealing a bicycle.
