Two girls kidnapped in Larkana

LARKANA, Feb 17 Two girls were kidnapped allegedly by their neighbour from the Kusar Mill area here on Tuesday.

According to Haidri police station's SHO Asad Sahikh, seven-year-old Asima and her cousin Nagina, 8, went missing on Tuesday afternoon.

Sonney, the mother of one of the girls, told police that their neighbour Hazoor Bakhsh alias Sagar Solangi had kidnapped the girls.

She said two other girls, Farhana and Fareeda, who were with Asima and Nagina had informed the family that they were playing when Hazoor came to them and said he would give them some toys. She said the girls went with Hazoor because they knew him, but did not return home.

The SHO told this correspondent that Hazoor had a criminal record and was allegedly involved in human trafficking. He said Hazoor had been booked for kidnapping the wife of his brother a few years ago.

Relatives of the girls met Superintendent of Police (investigation) Masroor Jatoi who had assured them of his support.

A case has been registered under section 363 with Haidri police station on the complaint of Sonney against Hazoor, his brothers Nazeer, Abdul Rehman, Nadeem and father Ghulam Rasool.

Police have taken Hazoor's father and brothers into custody.

MURDER A man was killed and his brother was injured when three people opened fire at them on the High Court road.

Sources said that the deceased, 35-year-old Ghulam Murtaza Chandio, and his brother, 45-year-old Sadullah, were returning from the court when they came under attack. Ghulam Murtaza died on the spot.
