Two shot dead in Haripur

HARIPUR, Jan 24 Two persons were shot dead over a financial dispute in the jurisdiction of Khalabat Township police station here on Saturday night.

Police quoted Wazeer Mohammad of village Hasan Bai as saying that he was home while his brother Dildar and maternal nephew Ahmed Nawaz were sitting in the guest room of another villager namely Hafeez when at around 1.30 am he heard the bullet shots.

Wazeer Mohammad added when he reached the place he saw that Ejaz and Sahib Khan of the village were spraying bullets at his brother and nephew with Kalashnikovs.

The indiscriminate firing by the attackers left both my uncle and nephew dead on the spot while the accused managed to escape from the scene, the complainant told the police. He said that there was a dispute of payment of money between the two parties. —Correspondent
