Japanese investment

KARACHI, March 21: The Japanese companies operating in Pakistan have resolved to undertake further efforts to expand trade and investment between Pakistan and Japan.

This was stated by Yukio Hasegawa, chairman of Japanese Association of Commerce and Industry (JACI), Karachi, while addressing a news conference at a local hotel on Friday.

Earlier, the 24th joint meeting of the JACI was held at the same premises.

Hasegawa said that the JACI consists of almost all the Japanese companies operating in Pakistan and he termed them as good partners for this country.

He stated that JACI will undertake further efforts with the Japanese counterpart organizations such as Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Japan Foreign Trade Council to revitalize economy and expand trade and investment between the two countries.

Hasegawa pointed out that through a resolution adopted at the meeting, the JACI resolved to actively cooperate in field such as policy suggestions with departments and organizations.—APP
