KARACHI, March 18: Pakistan clinched the three-match hockey test series against Malaysia, beating the host country 4-1 in the second Test played in Kaula Lumpur according to information received on Tuesday.

Pakistan have now have an unbeatable 2-0 lead with one more match to be played on Thursday.

The visitors who won the first match 5-3 opened their account in the second minute with Sohail Abbas converting a penalty corner.

On another raid, Pakistan went 2-0 ahead in the 12th minute, when spearhead Kashif Jawad, scored with a reverse flick. Eight minutes later the visitors were 3-0 ahead as Sohail Abbas grabbed his second goal.

Malaysia cut down the deficit 1-3 in the 30th minute, converting a penalty corner.

After the breather the Pakistan team were in full control of the proceedings and completed the scoring in the 50th minute through Aqil Khan. Pakistan squandered a golden opportunity of increasing their margin of victory missing a penalty stroke in the closing minutes.
