HYDERABAD, March 18: The Najia Jamaat Tanzeem, Badin, has appealed to the authorities to deploy army or rangers at the shrine of Lowari Sharif to tackle the situation arising out of a recent murder.

Speaking at a news conference at the local press club on Tuesday, the president of the organization, Nabi Bux Gopang, and others alleged that their opponent group was harassing the members of their organization.

They said that none of the members of the organization was involved in the murder of Ali Mardan Chandio who was killed on Thursday night.

They alleged that a concocted FIR was registered against their group, 12 members of which were rounded up by police.

They said that the houses of their group members were being raided by police and alleged that Lowari town was declared a no- go area for them by the armed members of the other group and the Badin police.

They said that their shops were closed and entry of their children in educational institutions of the town was banned.

They alleged that armed absconders from different districts were living in the houses, guest rooms and a rice mill of late Peer Gul Hassan Shah.

They further alleged that the opponent group was in possession of the movable and immovable property of the late Pir for 20 years.

They said that the property belonged to the only daughter of late Peer and demanded of the government to take over the possession of the disputed properties.

They warned that if the case against their group members was not withdrawn, their group would stage protest demonstrations throughout Sindh.
