LAHORE, Dec 1:Brothers Club and Bishop Club registered wins in contrasting style on fifth night of the Ramazan-ul-Mubarak basketball tournament at Cathedral School, Church Road courts on Friday.

Brothers Club defeated Z. U. Khan Club by 67 points to 21 after leading 31-12 at half-time. For Brothers Club, Earej Gul scored 27, Hamza Shahid 17, Zain-ul-Abidin 12 and Raju Ishaq 11 points. For Z. U. Khan Club Abu Zar scored 14 points.

Bishop Club beat Don Bosco Old Boys Club by three points (68-65) in extra-time of five minutes. At interval, both the teams were tied at 30-30. Later, they were again locked at 49-49 and 55-55 during the stipulated period.

For the losing Don Bosco Old Boys Club, the 54-year-old former international Maudood Jafri alone scored 31 points but could  not save his team from defeat. His teammates Adeel Manzar contributed 14  and  Asif Ali 13 points. For the winning Bishop  Club,  Zahid Anthony scored 20, Pervaiz Younis 14, Kamran Munawwar 11 and Javed Younis eight points.
