KARACHI, March 15: The Revenue Department of Sindh has extended the last date upto April 30, 2003, for payment of Jambandi items, including land tax, water rate (Abiana), drainage cess and local cess for the Kharif 2002.

The allowed extension will be applicable in the areas declared as calamity-affected.

The talukas declared as calamity affected areas for the year 2002-2003 are:

Tharparkar: Entire district.

Dadu: Entire district.

Thatta: Thatta, Shah Bunder, Jati, Keti Bunder, Mirpur Sakro, Ghora Bari, Kharo Chhan and Mirpur Bathoro Talukas.

Mirpurkhas: Umerkot, Pithoro, Kunri, Kot Ghulam Mohammad, Digri and Samaro Talukas.

Badin: Badin, Tando Bago, Shaheed Fazal Rahu and Talhar Talukas.

Ghotki: Mirpur Mathelo, Ghotki, Khan Garh and Dharki Talukas.

Sanghar: Khipro, Sanghar, Sinjhoro, Jam Nawaz Ali and Shahdadpur Talukas.

Larkana: Shahdadkot, Warah, Qambar Ali Khan and Dokri Talukas.

Jacobabad: Jacobabad, Thull and Garhi Khairo Talukas.

Sukkur: Rohri, Saleh Pat and Pano Akil Talukas.

Khairpur: Nara, Faiz Gunj and Mir Wah Talukas.

Naushahro Feroze: Bhiria Taluka.

Shikarpur: Shikarpur and Gari Yasin Talukas.

Karachi: (Defunct Malir district), Dehs of defunct Malir Modian, Jhangkand, Kand, Khar, Shorkand, Wanknd, Lusar, Bhad, Terari, Soondi, Jhunjhar, Meharjabal, Gadap, Huderwah, Langheji, Karmatiani, Shoring, Bolhari, Shahi Chib, Rathore, Chuhar, Khaeji, Abdar, Boil, Amilano, Ghaghar, Pipri, Dhabeji, Koteriro, Bakran, Konkar, Kharkharo, Tore, Thado and Khakhar Talukas.—APP
