CHARSADDA, March 9: Acting district Nazim Haji Mohammad Ibrahim has asked transporters not to charge extra fare from commuters unless an official notification about increase in fare rates is issued.

This he said while presiding over a meeting of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA), says a handout issued here on Sunday.

The meeting took serious notice of additional fares being charged by the owners of public transport and decided that till one week the transport fare would be charged according to the old rates and asked the RTA to issue a new fare rate list within one week.
