The SHC freed the haris and asked them to go wherever they liked.

The liberated peasants told newsmen that they were made to work without compensation, their movement was restricted by the landlords and their henchmen and they were subjected to inhuman atrocities by them.

The haris who were brought from the land of Obaidullah Dars alleged that seven more peasants were still being held in captivity by the landlord.
