MIRPURKHAS, March 4: Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarian leader, Nawab Mohammad Yousuf Talpur, has condemned the murder of Pervaiz Malik, brother-in-law of party’s acting secretary-general in Lahore on Monday and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.

The CEC member of the PPP charged that the government had completely failed in maintaining law and order in the country as murders of innocent citizens, robberies, car thefts and other crimes were on the rise especially in Punjab and Sindh, he said in a statement on Tuesday.

Mr Talpur said it was strange that Punjab government remained unmoved over the murder of Pervaiz Malik. He said over a period of few months several PPP leaders and party sympathizers had been murdered in Punjab which needed to be investigated on proper lines.

He said after spending billions of rupees on law-enforcement machinery the government remained a silent spectator to the situation while the lawlessness had made the life of common man miserable.

He said the PPP would not remain silent over the growing murders of the PPP leaders and supporters and announced that the issue would be taken to the National Assembly.
