LARKANA, Feb 28: The sessions court, Larkana, on Thursday ordered the SHO of Behram police station to produce a minor girl, her father and a 60-year-old man, who was accused of buying the girl, in the court on March 1.

The action was taken on a petition of the brother of the girl, Mohammed Jumman, who alleged that his father, Ghulam Qadir Brohi, had sold his sister, Nawabzadi, who is below the age of 12, for Rs50,000 to Wali Mohammad Sochi, 60, resident of Qubo Saeed Khan, who wanted to marry the minor girl.

Jumman alleged that when the girl and her mother resisted, Nawabzadi was detained in her house to pressure her to submit to her marriage plan.

He said that the deal of the sale of the girl was struck in the Hakim Shah village of Mirokhan taluka.

The petitioner prayed for the release of his sister from the detention.

The court, after hearing the petition, issued the production notice and ordered the SHO to produce Nawabzadi, Brohi and Sochi in the court.
