NEW DELHI, Feb 25: If Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is to be believed Kashmiris have already given their verdict to stay with India, according to the remarks he made to reporters accompanying him in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.

Press Trust of India quoted Mr Vajpayee as also rejecting President Pervez Musharraf’s remarks putting Kashmir and the Palestinian issue side by side as typical problems the world had failed to resolve.

“There is no comparison between Kashmir and Palestine. The people of Kashmir have given their verdict in the elections to stay with India. They have decided that,” PTI quoted Mr Vajpayee as telling Indian journalists.—JN
