Afzal Sports in final

KARACHI, Feb 25: Some splendid batting by Baber Qureshi (65), Ghulam Hyder (53) and Talha Leghari (43), helped Afzal Sports reach the final of the KCCA Zone III B Division League cricket tournament, after beating Lyari Gymkhana by a 95 runs at the KGA ground on Tuesday.

Batting first after winning the toss, Afzal Sports raced to 252 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their 35 allotted overs as Mohammad Khalid picked up four for 54, for the fielding side.

Chasing 253 runs for victory, Lyari Gymkhana were bowled out for 157 runs in 29.3 overs with Hameedullah top scoring with 58 runs and Umair Ahmed weighing in with 25.

Spinners Ghulam Hyder four for 56, Jawed Ahmed two for 37 and Zahoor Khan two for seven were instrumental in bowling their team to victory.
