MIRPURKHAS, Feb 18: The transfer orders of the assistant district officer (ADO), elementary education, Digri, Mujahida Parveen, have not been cancelled despite directives of the Sindh secretary for education.

The DCO had transferred Ms Parveen and posted her as headmistress at the Government Girls High School, Naukot. Noor Jehan (BPS-15) was posted as the new ADO.

The secretary for education, in a letter addressed to the DCO, had informed him that following introduction of the devolution plan, the district government could not transfer or post an officer of BPS-18.

BOARD: The students, belonging to Sanghar, Mirpurkhas and Tharparkar districts, are facing difficulties as the summary in respect of establishment of board of intermediate and secondary education in Mirpurkhas is still pending approval and they have to approach the Hyderabad board. A proposal for a separate BISE in Mirpurkhas was recently sent to the Sindh governor by the education department.
