Oil-tanker overturns at Cantt

Published February 18, 2003

LAHORE, Feb 17: Panic gripped a residential area near the Sherpao Bridge in Cantonment when a truck laden with oil overturned on Monday.

Police reached the spot when they were informed on their emergency numbers about the incident. The oil company’s administration, civil aviation staff and other agencies also rushed to the scene.

Fearing that the oil might caught fire, the police vacated some houses in the locality for two hours. Some of the people went to their relatives and friends while many stayed there.

The oil was wiped after few hours. — Reporter
