BADIN, Feb 16: Growers have accused the senior officials of the Area Water Board Left Bank Badin of systematically destroying the district’s agriculture sector and economy by suspending the supply of water in the canals.

This was stated by the representatives of the District Abadgar Welfare Committee, Badin, at a press conference held here on Sunday.

They accused the director of the AWB of violating the rotation programme for the irrigation water and forcing growers to take to the streets.

The supply of irrigation water, they said, in distributaries of the Kadhan and Badin talukas had been delayed and the rotation programme schedule had been violated by the director and the chairman of the AWB.
