FAISALABAD: Exhausted by continuous travelling for more than a fortnight and maintaining the hectic schedule of addressing public meetings from morning till late in the night, PTI chairman Imran Khan stumbled and almost fell on the stage when he was waving to supporters at a meeting here on Sunday.

He was immediately offered a chair and medical help was called in for his check-up. He soon recovered and it was announced from the podium, to the relief of the panicked gathering, that he was well.

PTI leaders said Mr Khan had been advised rest but he had said he could not take the risk of taking rest when the polling day was round the corner.—Staff Correspondent

So this great athlete can not tolerate the heat of Pakistani politics.
Jamshed Khan May 07, 2013 06:19am
Better than all the rest. This is the best that can be said about him. I won't go as far as calling him a great leader because he has yet to show his leadership skills.
jamal May 07, 2013 12:22am
Imran has given us a new option. I don't know how many seats his party may be able to get. I do believe after this election it will emerge as a strong party
Usman May 06, 2013 08:23pm
I am very happy and excited after reading all the comments here in favour of IK, I hope this much support is also reflected on May 11. We are with you IK, May Allah give you good health and energy to cross the line.
azhar May 07, 2013 12:35pm

Look at this people of Pakistan, one man against several, soon we will come to know who the real SHER is, Insha Allah.
shahid May 07, 2013 11:40am
He should give some rest to his "Rhetoric Tone" also as its also not affecting his character.
ssf May 06, 2013 08:10pm
You should speak for your self not for every one overseas, in fact there are more Pakistanis overseas supporting other parties.
Shahpur May 06, 2013 05:12pm
May GOD help him to the victory stand.
Sumeet May 06, 2013 06:50pm
He seems like a good man! Could this be staged though? To show his toughness?(Look! I'm the man!!)
Qaiser Bakhtiari May 06, 2013 03:00am
I don't believe that there is any quality check for photographs that are published in Dawn. Cause if there were one, this travesty of a photo would not have made it to this website.
A Rahman Khan YÅ«sufzai May 06, 2013 03:19am
A Great Leader!
Rizwan Liaqat May 06, 2013 03:22am
Our hero, Imran Khan.
Israr_ahmed May 06, 2013 06:30pm
Surely the online community is with IK and PTI. What about the majority though? the ones who live in villages, and small urban areas? PTI has not done much in Sindh and Balouchistan, and all this mish-mash with JI alliance and non alliance. See we all pray for IK and PTI, but reality is very different friends, do not lose hope, but do not be too unrealistic as well.
Sonia K May 06, 2013 03:27am
Give the man some credit!! He is not travelling with A/C laden machines and not addressing crowds at whim and doing his campaigns and complaining at the same time like all the parties are. He is making an EFFORT to bring a 'change' in perception towards Pakistani politics.
Dilawer May 06, 2013 06:23am
Dawn fails to meet minimum standards of lowest form of journalism. The quality of reporting and the images they publish are pathetic. Well, what else can we expect from the kids who are the product of sub standard education. Anyone can become a reporter these days.
Dilaer May 06, 2013 03:48am
He must take frequent breaks. This is a job of his support team to ensure that he remains in good shape.
Nazir K Ali May 06, 2013 04:02am
Imran got caught by sheer fatigue and heat exhaustion. He is determined to do something memorable for the country and that is what is pushing him. Take care and may Allah Almighty guide you. Salams

God bless Imran Khan
Ali May 06, 2013 04:49am
This is called determination....the leader we want, the leader we deserve
Zafar May 06, 2013 05:49pm
Get well soon IK, but in the present voting culture, you would be lucky to win 10 seats in National Assembly. The guy in the presidency will likely retain his position because he is so good at forging alliances across the political spectrum. He can declare the elections null and void (citing security problems and un-even playing field etc.) if the results are not according to his liking.
Rafi Waziristani May 06, 2013 08:45am
Inshah Allah ,,,Khan will be Victorous,,,,,Khan we are with u
Shahid May 06, 2013 08:43am

patriot May 06, 2013 05:52am
What a great leader! He cares about his people and Pakistan needs him badly this time! It's a moment of now or never for pakistan.
Pakistani May 06, 2013 04:35pm
Only a sincere and honest leader works this hard, this is a man who truly wishes the best for his nation and his people. He is sacrificing his health and life for Pakistan. We Pakistanis don't deserve such a great person, but Pakistan desperately needs him.
Arif Ahmed Siddiqi May 06, 2013 07:20am
We LOVE are the HOPE for PAKISTANIS....MAY ALLAH BLESS YOU WITH SUCCESS for NAYA PAKISTAN.....Insha ALLAH.................Arif Ahmed Siddiqi
sajid May 06, 2013 07:27am
absolutely agree with you, this is what em saying at every forum but unfortunately the main leadership is on campaign so they can;t raise it on electronic media. Its clear now that our media is part of the same corrupt status qou. How they show PTI rallys is biased ..
Abdullah Bilour May 06, 2013 07:31am
May Allah grant him success in his mission and make this nation "Azeem", as it very much deserves.

The small negative rating proves that the trolls and thieves will always be around and the majority good will overcome the bad and evil.
Atif May 06, 2013 09:36am
Khan sb thora rest bhi kar len, dekhen ap ke mukhalif 1 1 jalsa krte hen dono mil ke.
amjad khokhar May 06, 2013 09:36am
He will win back my Pakistan for me. If any Pakistani believes that he will get another opportunity like that ever again in future, he is mistaken. It is NOW or NEVER
Yawar May 06, 2013 04:59pm
If a hungry person approaches me, rather than handing him a lollypop, I would be better served in educating him or teaching him a trade so that he can earn a living for himself. That is the difference between the great Khan and his staunchest opponents.
waqas May 06, 2013 08:08am
May ALLAH bless u.. we r fighting for u infact for us.. we luv u...

Excellent opportunity for ' RED BULL ' ......................
ram May 06, 2013 02:49pm
Dear Pakistanis please do not rest all your hope on one man, he cannot magically fix all the problems infact no one can do that in a democratic system, However Imran sucesses depends on team he chooses if he wins election. Some of the polices made today may take 20-40 years to yeild any result.
Imran Malik May 06, 2013 11:06am
Nawaz will Win Inshallah And he is a real tiger of Asia

May The Al-Mighty's force be with Imran. Go Imran Go PTI !!!...the Entire Pakistan nation InshAllah will receive you at the finishing Line as the Winner!
Nasr May 06, 2013 04:21pm
May Allah bring his and his colleague efforts into a good wiinning for his party in this election and a powerful govenment who can turn the tables for the good in Pakistan. Please do not vote for the already raced horses.
Atique Ahmed May 06, 2013 11:42am
His schedule should could have been better organised with breaks for him to rest in between the rallies. We Overseas Pakistanis salute his struggle and efforts to save us from corrupt PPP and PML(N). Long live Imran Khan.
Realist May 07, 2013 04:29pm
Are you joking or do you have amnesia?
Batalvi May 06, 2013 12:07pm
PTI - Your time has come ....
Mohammad Ali Khan May 06, 2013 12:16pm
I hope he will work this hard to fix the country after elections.
Junaid May 06, 2013 04:07pm
Ram, you are right that one man cant fix it all. But Pakistan needs one leader to lead it out of its current abyss. Look at Imran's team. He has people like Asad Umer, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Javed Hashmi as trusted stalwarts. He isnt alone.
Junaid May 06, 2013 04:08pm
Khuda na khwasta is more appropriate instead of Inshallah in your comment :P
Beenish Burhan May 06, 2013 12:33pm
Geo Imran Khan, you are doing all this for our country May Allah give you courage and a glorious victory
ummemuhammed May 07, 2013 07:41am
Not tiger but teddy bear... He has the right ideology but he loses spine in the face of pressure and compromises on principles, that's what is wrong with him... Imran Khan is principled and brave with the correct ideology...only i wish he wud not foul mouth his opponents, it is beneath his level... Nawaz Sharif must be appreciated for his decent talk...
Faheem Ahmad Khan May 06, 2013 12:37pm
i m not in pakistan but my request msg to all of you back there plz vote for khan so he can clean this 50 years old mess made by so called leaders
concerned212 May 06, 2013 01:59pm
Stay healthy Imran. Pakistan needs you.
Nana May 07, 2013 12:17pm
Can't understand why India is awarding a state funeral for a proclaimer spy who possibly killed 14 innocent people.
Salman May 06, 2013 03:34pm

independentthinker May 06, 2013 03:23pm
What a difference in leadership skills - one is in the hiding (Bilawal Bhutto/Zardari) and the other (Imran Khan) is exhausted by campaigning long hours. We can all see who is passionate about Pakistan's progress and I can only hope and pray the rest of Pakistan can also see this. Let this be a unanimous victory for this great leader and the world see that Imran Khan's victory is in fact, Pakistan's vicotry. Long live Imran - and long live Pakistan.
imran May 07, 2013 08:54am
Hi Sinai, he is 61 and has been continuously on the run since last few days. He is human and has a body afterall, he is like you and me, not different at all, so anyone can go down like this. Instead of criticizing we need to appreciate his courage, he has no control over his health (as Allah knows that) but he can control his courage. Think of your father spending this much time in this heat and then comment. I am sure you will feel for him. But worrying point is, how we Pakistani people find excuses after excuses to disgrace others. When will we change, the day this changes, Pakistan will change, until then you can bring 1000 Imran khan and nothing will happen, so change ourselves and then vote for Imran Khan so we can expect something good for him, otherwise even if he or someone else gives his life for you and me, wouldnt look good for us.
imran May 07, 2013 09:15am
You are right that Imran Khan is leader we want and need, but not sure if we really deserve a leader like him. We probably are one of the worst nations on this earth who keep selling their dignity, pride, religion, motherland and almost everything for mere money. But i hope IK comes to power and help change our mentality. Thats how bad we are!
Arslan May 07, 2013 10:21am
first identify if PML-N possesses a symbol of lion or tiger! You and PML-N dont even know the difference, they call it a lion, but infact its seems a tiger.
Nazi May 07, 2013 10:31am
Dear Jamshed khan you don't have to prove ur leadership skills either u are born with it or not ..... Did nawaz or zardari proved their skills before coming to power ..... Come on its logic .... But imran khan has proved to be patriotic worth trusting ....numl university and hospital ... At least has served the people and one can imagine or expect good deeds from him ....... Nawaz says imran is anari ... When nawaz sharif was first made finance minister did he know economics or even English or even taxation ...please you sound like nice man think rationally and then decide
azhar May 07, 2013 11:53am
Dear Sinai, I take your comments as appraisal for the great athlete and agree with imran. I hope his hard work will be paid and wish we all Pakistanis work in our fields with this enthusiasm.
AHA May 07, 2013 11:12am
Wish IK the very best, and hope that puts on a good fight till the last day. While I am very concerned about his 'pro-Taliban' position, he is still better than the corrupt and absolute cheats that we have tried before.
ICash May 07, 2013 01:01pm
We should consider someone as our leader who is in the best of his health. He couldn't stand this hectic routine for mere two weeks, how will he run the country. Running a country for five long years or more needs much more then what he calls a "hectic" election campaign. I wish him best of luck and pray for his health but who's the next person after him in his party, with same vigor and zeal.
Gulbaz Mushtaq May 07, 2013 02:07pm
Tabdeeli aa nahi rahi... Tabdeeli aa gai haiiiiiiiiiii Please vote for PTI
barney May 07, 2013 03:11pm
