DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Feb 5: The police have arrested three people and recovered 21 pistols and 455 cartridges from their possession on Tuesday.

The SHO of Paroa police arrested Gul Qadir and Misaal Khan at Ramak police post from a Karachi-bound bus (6444-E Peshawar) and recovered 10 pistols with 230 rounds from their possession.

The Daraban police arrested one Liaquat, resident of Peshawar, and recovered 11 pistols with 225 rounds from his possession.

SALARY LOOTED: Two armed men deprived the headmistress of the government primary school Miwankhel, Panyala, Dilshad Begum, of the staff salary on Tuesday.

The headmistresses had drawn Rs20,439 salary of the school staff from a bank and went to the school to disburse it among the staff.

She told the police that two armed men broke into the school and took away the whole amount from her purse and fled away. The Panyala police have registered the case.
