KARACHI, Feb 5: Thousands of people participated in a rally, organized by the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, on Wednesday to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.

Small groups of people, led by leaders of the MMA from different parts of the city, joined the main gathering at the mausoleum of the Quaid.

The deputy chief of Jamaat-i-Islami, Prof Ghafoor Ahmed, said that the struggle of the Kashmiri Muslims against the Indian occupation was an evidence that they were determined to fight till achieving their right of self-determination.

He vowed that the people of Pakistan would continue their support for the oppressed Kashmiris till they got liberation.
