LAHORE, Feb 4: A small card of five events featuring the Kashmir Day Cup has been charted out for  the  midweek  Lahore Gymkhana races to be held at the Racecourse on Wednesday.

All events will be held over the sprinting distance of 1200m metres. The first race will start at 1.00 pm.

The fields for events comprise acceptors belonging to lower divisions  of class seven, from division V down to division  VIII called the scrap division.

The  number of acceptors in each events is large which is  an unusual phenomenon in the gymkhana races.

In all, 75 runners  are taking part in five events.

The  feature and fourth event, the Kashmir Day Cup,  a  Class VII  Division V (A) handicap races has 11 runners,  if  there are no last-minute withdrawals.

Keeping in view the recent performance and handicap, it looks a  two-horse  affair between bay Fair Boy and  the  bay colt Triple M. Both have prominently been appearing on the board and  are  in fine fettle. The distance of 1200m,  however, goes in favour of Triple M.

Interestingly  Triple M, is jointly owned by three  persons, who  have  M in common as first letter of their  names  (Mahmood, Mahir and Manzoor). This is how the colt gets his name Tipple M.

The following are the fields and our selections:
