LAHORE, Feb 1: The Punjab government has decided to fill-in thousands of vacant posts in the traffic police besides purchasing a large number of new wireless set fitted vehicles and motorcycles for them under a multi-million programme.
This was announced by Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi while presiding over a meeting here on Saturday. He directed to involve traffic police in fighting common crime, promising full patronage to those showing better performance in this regard.
