HYDERABAD, Feb 1: The directorate of research and assessment, Jamshoro, is launching a programme of mobile assessment system for classes I-VIII in the Khairpur district from Feb 3-4 an official statement said on Saturday.

This activity would be introduced in all districts gradually, it added.

According to the statement, the director, research and assessment, Sindh, said that a team of experts would organize a brain-storming session for the members of the school management committees, DOEs (elementary/secondary), ADOEs and supervisors of the Khairpur district.

The objective of this meeting, the director said, was to create awareness about functions of the Provincial Education Assessment Centre and the Quality Assessment Cell.

In this meeting, he said, the experts would also discuss the assessment system as a key factor in improving the quality of education at the elementary level, the functioning of school management committees, the implementation of compulsory primary education and the impact of free distribution of books in increasing the enrolment of students.
