ISLAMABAD: Final negotiations regarding seat adjustments between Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) for the coming general election would take place on Saturday, DawnNews reported.

In an informal conversation with the DawnNews, PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said there was no possibility of seat adjustment between the two parties in eight to 10 constituencies.

He added that in the said seats, PPP and PML-Q candidates would contest against each other.

Shujaat further said more details would be available once negotiations between the two parties take place.

Although, PPP and PML-Q had set out to contest the election jointly on several seats, the parties have recently been experiencing difficulties in finalising a formula for seat adjustment.
