Rain troubles people of Swat

Published January 30, 2003

MINGORA, Jan 29: The rain which continued for two days has caused trouble for the people in the urban areas of Swat.

The sanitation system has failed and the roads have been submerged by water. The soil, dug out due to the ongoing work on the gas pipelines, due to rain water, has now changed to mud covering the roads.

The contractor, even after laying the pipeline, has not yet repaired the roads.

Swat district Nazim Dr Mehboobur Rehman in a statement on Wednesday has warned the contractor concerned to expedite the work.
