LARKANA, March 24: Two young girls were recovered from a coaster on a tip-off that they were being transported to a place for sale to some wealthy persons, Wagan police said on Sunday.

According to the police, Laxmi, 16, and Mansha, 18, were accompanying a man, Ghulam Mustafa Chutto, who was reported to be involved in human trafficking. Acting upon a tip-off, police intercepted the coaster near Wagan town and took the suspect and the girls in custody. Later, Chutto was formally arrested and an investigation into the alleged sale of girls was started. Sources in the area said that the girls belonged to Meghwar clan.

The police claimed that Chutto had been trapping girls on commitment of marriage and had already sold out some of his victims to some wealthy people. The suspect would be produced in a court of law on Monday, they added.
