Cash, jewellery taken away

FAISALABAD, Jan 27: Robbers and thieves made off with hundreds of thousands of rupees in cash, gold ornaments and drove away two motorcycles and a wagon in 11 strikes during the last 24 hours.

Two gunmen snatched Rs125,000 from Shameer a few metres away from the Batala Colony police station.

Highwaymen snatched thousands of rupees in cash, jewellery and valuables from the family of Shaikh Naseer when they were on their way home after attending a marriage in Raja Chowk, Batala Colony.

Three masked robbers took away cash, gold and electrical appliances from the house of Khaliq in Factory Area.

Two highwaymen drove away with the motorcycle of Sanaullah in Chak 463-GB.

Three masked men deprived commission agent Abdul Karim of his motorcycle in Samundri.

Three highwaymen drove away with a wagon from the Faisalabad-Jhang Road after tying its driver Ramzan with a rope.

Thieves took away cash, gold and valuables worth Rs100,000 from the house of Qamar Nasir in Chak 225-RB.

Clothes and yarn worth thousands of rupees was stolen from the godown of Sadiq in Batala Colony.

Dacoits took away cloth and yarn worth Rs60,000 from the godown of the factory of Karimul Haq on Maqbool Road.

Three robbers took away cash and other valuables from the house of Naziran Bibi in Ghulam Muhammadabad.

The family of Amir Ijaz was deprived of jewellery, cash and wristwatches when they were returning after attending a marriage ceremony in Muslim Town.
