ISLAMABAD, March 19: Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, also president of the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF), awarded cash prizes to national junior squash team for winning gold medal in the 16th Asian Junior Squash Team Championship, held in Seoul last month.

Pakistan boys’ team comprising Ali Bukhari, Tayyab Aslam, Ammad Fareed and Bilal Zakir delivered excellent results in the Asian junior event. Pakistan blanked India 2-0 in the championship final to clinch gold medal.

Lauding the performance of the junior team in the Asian Squash Championship, the PSF chief said this victory would help Pakistan in regaining the glorious position in the world of squash the country enjoyed in the past.

Tahir also expressed his satisfaction over the performance of Pakistan girls’ team who registered fifth position among the eight participating teams in Seoul.—APP
