KARACHI, May 2: The Pakistan coast guards have seized a large quantity of hashish in Badoke, near Pasni in Balochistan.

According to a statement issued here on Thursday, the coast guard officials received a tip-off from intelligence sources about the smuggling of narcotics through the RCD Highway. Different passenger buses were checked in Badoke in Pasni and during the checking of a passenger bus about 500 kilograms of fine quality hashish hidden in secret cavities was seized.

Meanwhile, the Sindh excise and taxation department in a raid has recovered 640kg of hemp, arrested a driver and impounded a truck in which the narcotics were hidden.—APP
