KARACHI, April 22: Police on Monday claimed to have arrested an alleged militant of the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban (Fazalullah group) in Baldia Town.

CID SSP Aslam Khan told a press conference that suspect Asad alias Bhai Jan was arrested in Ittehad Town and two suicide vests, two hand-grenades, and one pistol was recovered from him. During investigation, the suspect disclosed that he had masterminded twin bombings in Quaidabad in which DSP Kamal Mangan and ASI Akbar were killed. He also confessed to his involvement in the killing of two lady polio workers and as many policemen, said SSP Khan.
