Names of by-election winners notified

ISLAMABAD, Jan 24: The Election Commission on Friday notified the names of those who won the National Assembly and provincial assemblies seats in the by-election.

Election to the seat, PP147, Lahore, will be held on Jan 26.

According to the announcement, the successful National Assembly candidates are: Ataur Rehman, NA25, Dera Ismail Khan; Ahmad Ghafoor, NA34, Lower Dir; Mohammad Hanif Abbasi, NA56, Rawalpindi-VII; Rasheed Akbar Khan, NA74, Bhakkar-II; Sardar Talib Hassan Nakai, NA142, Kasur-V; Saeed Ahmad Chaudhry, NA163, Sahiwal-V; Syed Tasneem Nawaz Gardezi, NA187, Bahawalpur-V; Ali Nawaz Khan Mahar, NA201, Ghotki; Syed Javed Ali Shah, NA216, Khairpur-II; and Dr Abdul Kadir Khanzada, NA242, Karachi-IV.

Mohammad Waqas, PP8, Rawalpindi-VIII; Aamir Hayat Khan Niazi, PP44, Mianwali-II; Saeed Akbar Khan, PP47, Bhakkar-I; Sardar Dildar Ahmed Cheema, PP61, Faisalabad-XI; Akmal Saif Chattha, PP103, Gujranwala-XIII: Mohammad Bashrat Raja, PP-110, Gujrat-III; Haji Qaiser Amin Butt, PP142, Lahore-VI; Mohammad Husnain Khan Bosan, PP200, Multan-VII; Mohammad Mohsin Khan Leghari, PP-245, Dera Ghazi Khan-VI; Mehr Fazal Hussain Sumra, PP266, Layyah-V; Ghazali Rahim Khan Pitafi, PP247, Rajanpur-I; and Sardar Mohammad Dariya Khan Fayyaz, PP295, Rahim Yar Khan-XI, were elected to the Punjab Assembly. Faiz Mohammad Mahar, PS10, Shikarpur-II; Abid Hussain Jatoi, PS12, Shikarpur-IV; Imtiaz Ahmed alias Tariq Sheikh, PS18, Jacobabad-VI; Ahsan Ali Jatoi, PS76, Dadu-VI; and Engr Syed Sarfraz Shah Sheerazi, PS86, Thatta-III, were elected to the Sindh Assembly. Maulana Mohammad Idrees, PF20, Charsadda-IV; and Israrullah Khan Gandapur, PF67, D.I. Khan-IV, were elected to the NWFP Assembly. Shah Zaman Rind became Balochistan Assembly member from PB31, Kachhi-II.
