KARACHI, Mach 11: An anti-narcotic court sentenced three drug peddlers to as many years of imprisonment on Monday.

The court found Ramiz, Abid and Rehman Qureshi guilty of keeping two kilograms (each) of hashish in their homes in March last year.

The judge of court-II for control of narcotic substances, Sanaullah Ghory, also imposed a fine of Rs20,000 on them.

According to the prosecution, the police arrested the suspects in Korangi after a shootout and seized illegal weapons from them and during interrogations they led the police to their homes and produced the drug.

A case was registered under Section 6/9-C of the Control of Narcotics Substance Act 1997 at the SIU police station.
