PESHAWAR, March 7: The district administration on Thursday arrested 38 profiteers for overcharging from consumers and 10 others for making encroachments along the roads and in bazaars. According to details, on the directives of Peshawar deputy commissioner Mohammad Javed Marwat additional assistant commissioner-I Habibullah Arif arrested 22 profiteers while AAC-IV Nimatullah took into custody 16 others and 10 more were held for erecting encroachments. The action was taken on the complaints of residents of Bazaar-i-Kalan, who called on the DC the other day and informed him about the hardships being faced by the school-going children and women due to encroachments. — APP
