Ten wickets haul by Fayyaz

KARACHI, Jan 23: Paceman Mohammad Fayyaz bowled Rawalpindi into an impregnable position by claiming a match haul of 10 for 82 against Multan for 172 in the Quaid Trophy pre-quarterfinal on Thursday.

Multan were struggling at 144 for six in their second innings after the visitors had gained a lead of 54 on the first innings.

Wasim Haider, a representative of the 1992 World Cup winning squad, scored 101 as Faisalabad piled up a first innings total of 391 in reply to Sialkot’s 121 in their match at Bahawalpur Stadium in Bahawalpur.

Meanwhile, Sargodha were in the lead against Lahore Whites at Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar.

After Lahore Whites were bowled out for 131, Sargodha made 167 for six.
