LAHORE: Extending his stay in the provincial metropolis, President Asif Zardari has decided to visit maximum number of districts of Punjab.

The president will inaugurate the Premnagar dry port developed near Raiwind here on Monday (today) while he is likely to visit Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan and Multan on Tuesday.

He held a meeting with Lahore division office-bearers and parliamentarians of the PPP on Sunday evening.

Those who called on him at Bilawal House included federal ministers Manzoor Wattoo and Samina Khalid Ghurki, Naveed Chaudhry, Asif Hashmi, Aslam Gill, Tanveer Ashraf Kaira, Qasim Zia, Munir Ahmad Khan, Mian Misbah, Azizur Rehman Chan, Aurangzeb Burki and Bushra Aitzaz.

Interior minister Rehman Malik also called on President Zardari late in the evening.
