LAHORE, March 1: Hira Ashiq will face Mohammad Abid in the first Servis Lahore Open tennis tournament final after both won their respective semi-finals at the Bagh-i-Jinnah ground here on Friday.

Both the semi-finals remained one-sided affairs as Hira toppled Tanvir Ashiq 6-4, 6-4 while Abid easily overpowered Ahmed Babar 6-3, 6-3.

In the ladies’ category, Khunnsha Baber and Rida Khalid qualified for the final after beating their rivals in the semi-finals.

While Khunnsha proved too strong for Zargul, winning 6-2, 6-4, Rida made her way to the final beating Mahnoor 6-2, 6-0. The men and women’s finals and those of all the remaining categories will be staged on Saturday.
