SUKKUR, Feb 27: Excise police found about 80 kilos of heroin and 10 kilos of charas hidden in secret cavities of a trailer during a routine check of vehicles at the Sindh-Punjab border area near Ghotki on Wednesday.

Ghotki Excise and Taxation Officer Mohammad Sharif Mirani told journalists that the trailer (No.LS-344) was smuggling the drugs from Peshawar to Karachi.

The drugs were worth millions of rupees in the international market, he said.

He said that police had arrested trailer driver Bahawal Din of Landi Kotal and cleaner Ikhtiar of Peshawar and registered a case against them. —Correspondent
