KARACHI, Jan 22: An under-trial prisoner died in mysterious circumstances on Wednesday.

Police said that Muhammad Imran Baloch, aged 22, was taken to the City Courts on Tuesday. On the way back he said he was not feeling well. He was shifted to the Landhi Jail hospital.

Early Wednesday morning, when he was being shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, he died on way to the hospital. The autopsy report was reserved by the medicolegal officer.

Police said that Imran, an employee of a private bank, was picked up by the FIA’s Commercial Banking Circle some six months ago on charges of misappropriation.
