KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has again accused the Punjab government of not taking action against the banned militant organisation Lashkar-i-Jhangvi (LJ), DawnNews reported.

Speaking to the media upon arrival at the airport in Karachi, the interior minister said that the leadership of LJ is hiding in Punjab.

He said that LJ operations have intensified due to the lack of action by the provincial government.

Rehman Malik said that a letter could be written to the chief justice, raising this issue.

In reply to a question, the interior minister also said that the Sindh Education Minister Pir Mazharul Haq's comments regarding university in Hyderabad has been misinterpreted.

He also said that Ishratul Ibad is still Governor Sindh and that if he has resigned, then only his party has been given that resignation.
