LAHORE, Feb 21: The district and sessions judge on Thursday issued arrests warrants for a member of National Assembly and two MPAs, already disqualified for being dual nationals.

The Election Commission had filed a petition before the sessions judge for recovery of perks and privileges enjoyed by the parliamentarians. It was pleaded that these parliamentarians defrauded the people of Pakistan and also deceived the EC by concealing their pre-election disqualification on account of dual nationals.

The D&SJ issued repeated notices to Shahnaz Sheikh (MNA), Rana Asif and Amina Buttar (MPAs) but they did not turn up.

The judge issued arrest warrants for Feb 25.
