ISLAMABAD, Feb 19: Six matches were played here at PTF Tennis Complex on the opening day of the first leg of NBP Junior U-18 Ranking Tennis series on Tuesday.

Mohammad Mudasir sidelined Hasnain Mehmood 6-0,6-0 during first-round matches with Mohammad Muzamil registering 7-5,6-3 victory against Zaid Mujahid in a well contested two-set match and Abdal Haider defeating Kashan-ul-Haq 6-2,7-5.

Likewise, Mohammad Mudasir beat Mohammad Muzamil 6-0, 6-4, Abdal Haider downed Hasnain Mehmood 7-5, 6-4 while Kashan-ul-Haq defeated Zaid Mujahid 6-4, 6-2 in the second-round matches.

Mudasir and Abdal Haider are leading the table after securing their wins in first and second rounds.

In the doubles event, Mohammad Mudasir and Zaid Mujahid beat Kashan-ul-Haq and Hasnain Mehmood in a two-set match with score being 6-4,6-4.

Results: First-round: Mohammad Mudasir bt Hasnain Mehmood 6-0, 6-0; Mohammad Muzamil bt Zaid Mujahid 7-5, 6-3; Abdal Haider bt Kashan-ul-Haq 6-2, 7-5.

Second-round: Mohammad Mudasir bt Mohmmad Muzamil 6-0, 6-4; Kashan-ul-Haq bt Zaid Mujahid 6-4, 6-2; Abdal Haider bt Hasnain Mehmood 7-5,6-4.
