NOWSHERA, Feb 18: The Defa-i-Pakistan Council (DPC) has claimed that foreign hands are involved in sectarian attacks aimed at destabilising Pakistan.

“The country is passing through a critical time and foreign hands are involved in different incidents especially in Balochistan,” observed the DPC chairman and chief of his own faction of JUI Maulana Samiul Haq, while talking to reporters at Darul Ulum Haqqania, Akora Khattak, on Monday.

He said the PPP-led coalition government had failed to resolve Balochistan problem and control target killings in Karachi. He expressed concern over the killing of Hazara people in Quetta and asked the government to announce immediate compensation to the families of the victims of the blast.

“The Balochistan blast has exposed the decision of imposing governor rule in the province,” said Mr Sami.  He demanded of the government to arrest the real culprits and give them exemplary punishment.

KILLED: A person killed his wife over domestic issue on Monday.

Police said a person identified as Mustaqeem of Sikander Abad, Tolandi, allegedly killed his wife, Maryam, 20, after she returned home spending two months with her parents over some domestic dispute. Police said she was locked in a room and was beaten to death. She was brought to DHQ hospital for autopsy. Police said her brother Munawar Khan filed case against Mustaqeem in Akora Khattak police station.

BODY FOUND: Body of an unknown person was found at the bank of Kabul River near Masri Banda on Monday.  Police were informed by local people that a body of a young man was lying at the bank of Kabul River. Police brought the body to district headquarters hospital Nowshera for autopsy. —Corrrespondent
