KARACHI, Jan 20: Aided by a Lal Mohammad hat trick, Sindh Police reached quarterfinals, routing Allahdad Mohammadan 6-0 in the All-Pakistan Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto football tournament at Shafi Stadium Monday.

Two-goal Mohammad Muslim guided Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) into last eight after a 2-0 victory over DFA Jacobabad.

Asim Faiz opened the Sindh Police account after a Lal Mohammad pass in the 13th minute. The duo again moved together to get the second as this time Asim set up Lal Mohammad who netted in the 19th minute.

Abu Bakar was on target when he was fed by Ejaz Hussain in the 40th minute. Policemen went ahead with Mohammad Imran converting a 52nd-minute penalty.

Asim-Lal Mohammad pair was again on rampage against hapless Allahdad Mohammadan as Lal Mohammad slammed home his second followed by some excellent work by Asim in the 67th minute.

Allahdad Mohammadan could have got the consolation in the 70th minute, but were left ruing for missing a spot kick through Abdul Qayyum who squandered another chance two minutes later.

Lal Mohammad tore Allahdad Mohammadan defence apart to complete his hat trick with a 75th-minute goal.

SSGC grabbed a 2-0 lead before the breather, scoring through Muslim in the 18th minute and two minutes before the break.
