ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said on Friday that if need be, the delimitation of constituencies in Balochistan may be revised, DawnNews reported.
A three-member bench of the apex court, headed by the chief justice, resumed the hearing of the Balochistan law and order case.
Giving his remarks during the hearing, he also warned that there must be ‘no unrest’ in Balochistan until the general elections take place, adding that the situation should be conducive for holding polls in the restive province.
The chief justice further pointed out that people involved in kidnapping for ransom, bomb attacks and targeted killings were using illegal mobile phone SIMs to aid them in their crimes.
During the hearing, the Balochistan government’s counsel, Shahid Hamid, said action would be taken against those involved in enforced disappearances.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till March 6, 2013.
