KARACHI, Feb 13: The fifth Roshan Khan Junior Open squash 2013 which carries a handsome purse of US$10,000, will be played at PN Roshan Khan-Jahangir Khan Squash Complex here from March 17-21.

The event will be separately staged for boys’ and girls’ in under-11, under-13, under-15, under-17 and under-19 categories.

The competition is being held to acknowledge the contribution of former British Open champion Roshan who was the illustrious father of squash legend Jahangir Khan. Roshan died on Jan 6, 2006.

Organisers said they will provide accommodation to all the participants of the tourney which is a silver event of Asian Super Series and is also registered with World Squash Federation junior circuit tier three event.

The last date for submission of entries is Feb 21.

An organising committee headed by 10-time former British Open champion, Jahangir Khan has been formed to supervise arrangements for the event.

Other members of the committee are tournament director Tahir Jamil Khanzada, secretary Mohammad Amir Khan and coordinator Abdul Samad Khan.—Sports Correspondent
