KARACHI, Feb 10: Pakistan suffered a humiliating 0-3 defeat at the hands of Singapore in the play-off to finish a poor 10th in the Fed Cup Asia Oceania zone group two which concluded at Astana, Kazakshtan, on Sunday.

Earlier, Pakistan secured fifth place in Group ‘B’ ahead of Iran in the six-team round robin and were pitted against Singapore in the playoff. This was Pakistan’s third defeat in four games against Singapore in Fed Cup since 1997.

According to results made available here, Indonesia won the top honours and earned promotion in group one 2014.

Final positions: 1-Indonesia, 2-Hong Kong, 3-New Zealand, 4-Philippines, 5-Vietnam, 6-Malaysia, 7-Turkmenistan, 8-Kyrgyzstan, 9-Singapore, 10-Pakistan.
