LAHORE, Feb 6: Hearing a bail petition of three young doctors involved in thrashing of the medical superintendent of Gujranwala DHQ Hospital, the Lahore High Court on Wednesday summoned the victim.

The accused doctors through their counsel submitted that they did not torture the MS but the Punjab government wrongly implicated them in the case.

The counsel argued that his clients were in jail for one month without any cogent evidence against them. He said the doctors should be released on bail.

Justice Sheikh Najamul Hasan adjourned the hearing till Thursday (today) and sought the personal appearance of MS Dr Anwar Amanullah.
