LAHORE, Feb 6: Parliamentary leader of PML-Q Chaudhry Zaheer has submitted an adjournment motion to the Punjab Assembly against unavailability of medicines and protest of doctors at state-run hospitals.

He also visited the hunger strike camp set up by the protesting doctors at Services Hospital to convey them Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi’s solidarity message.

On the occasion, he said the Punjab government was defaming the doctors under a conspiracy because it wanted to privatise the state-run hospitals.

He said the government’s role had been ‘exposed’ in the judicial inquiry into the Punjab Institute of Cardiology drugs scam.
